VividScience Teachers Are Makers
Teachers and learners can make, repair, invent, retask, and innovate as they explore new knowledge. VividScience assemblages (displays, student stations, lectures, previews, etc.) incorporate handmade and upcycled (recycled, repurposed) pieces to explore and develop conceptual understandings. We begin with a science concept that we'd like to explore (such as photosynthesis, symbiosis, or homeostasis), select from a variety of formats (ATCs/Artist Trading Cards , inchies, mail art, etc.), and utilize mixed media techniques (drawing, painting, sewing, collage, metalwork, woodwork, sculpture, etc.) to express information.
