VividScience Inchies at The Co.
On May 28, 2015, OSU hosted The Co. (http://gototheco.tumblr.com/) an Oregon maker fair. VividScience participated with a booth, here is the press release:
"
VividScience Handmade & Upcycled: Exploring Nature with 2D Mixed Media Projects" has three components: 1. Showing a variety of examples (ATC, mail art, journal pages, etc.) on how art projects can develop and reinforce science understandings; 2. Providing a supporting web page with further examples, resources, and explorations; and 3. Assisting participants in constructing "inchies," which are one inch by one inch opportunities to stamp, paint, paste, bead, sew, share, and otherwise quickly and in a "low-risk" manner make a mini art piece or two around a nature theme. Basically it's a medley of mixed media adventures on a small scale. (For more VividScience information, click the links on the left)
