- The final will occur Tuesday 6 December 6:00 to 7:50 PM in the lecture room, 149 Weniger.
Midterm Examination
- Subject matter will include everything up to and including Lab 4 and Chapters 1 and 2 in Simpson.
- No books or notes will be allowed. A formula sheet covering complex numbers will be provided.
- Be prepared to analyze simple passive circuits (resistors, capacitors and inductors) in both the time
and frequency domains. Begin with a physical analysis, asking how the impedances change with frequency,
where the current is flowing, etc.. Physical understanding is more important than mathematical finesse.
Understand input and output impedances and the consequences in the operation of a circuit. Be prepared
to draw and interpret a response function (in dB) vs. log(frequency) curves. Understand power dissipation.

- Read and learn from the complete answers to the 2011 midterm.
Final Examination
- Subject matter will include everything up to and including Lab 6, though the operational amplifier material
