01/14/2004 - Exploding Bubbles! You've blown bubbles ever since you were a little kid, but have you ever had any bubbles that ignited when you lit them? We went "bubble blowing" at this meeting with methane gas from Gilbert 124! This procedure involved injecting methane gas into a soap bubble solution and then "lifting" the bubbles out of the bubble jar and lighting it with a candle that is tied to the end of a stick. Made some very nice fireballs!
