Grades:
The classroom is a grade-free zone, except during exams. What this means is that you will not be specifically graded on discussion/participation or the like. This restriction is intended to encourage discussion and participation. The more you invest yourself in course activities, the greater your chance of mastering the subject and enjoying the class.

Graded activities will include:
   Exams - Midterm and Final
   Graded Online Homework
   Lab Projects
   Possible Quizzes

Your course grade will be based on a composite total based on your work according to the following distribution.

Midterm Exam 100 points
Final Exam 100 points
Homwork, Projects and Quizzes 130 points

Total 330 points

You can expect grades to be assigned on roughly a straight scale (90% or better = A , 80% or better = B or better, and so on). In any event, the curve will not be tougher than a straight scale.
