The homework that the students complete each week touches on a number of the instructional strategies for Physics 111, including: Friends and Family Assignments, Literacy, and Reflections, among many many others. Each homework assignment is designed to tap into students' thinking about what happened in the previous week of class. By reading through their notes, reflecting upon their experiences, engaging others in the learning that they experienced themselves, reading related journal articles, and applying their knowledge with physics problems, the students are creating a coherent record of their science learning processes.
