In Winter 2010, it was found that students did not fully grasp this segment. This may be because it was toward the end of the paradigm and they were struggling with their time-evolution work, but I (Dedra Demaree) felt that the students were overwhelmed with new terminology and couldn't grab hold of what I was talking about. They are unfamiliar with particle physics and it had been a long time since they had thought about relativistic energy. In order to have them make full meaning of this, there would need to be more review of these ideas. They also had not heard of neutrino oscillations, so while they found Super-K interesting, they didn't have general curiosity about the topic.
