BI 101, 102, 103, also called General Biology or BI 10X, are introductory biology courses intended to develop kowledge and skills that can support lifetime learning of biology. BI 101 emphasizes diversity, ecology, and environmental science. BI 102 introduces genetics, evolution, and behavior. BI 103 covers human anatomy, physiology, and disease. Each course is worth four credits and can fulfill the baccalaureate core requirement for a life science course with a laboratory component. BI 103 is worth four credits and can fulfill the baccalaureate core requirement for a life science course with a laboratory component. There are no prerequisites for this course.
