L17 posted. I will be out of town Thu 9 & Fri 10. Fri 10 is Wien work session. GS available in 401A or 412 to help with Gem/Flair. Jason Wielma can address computer/Wien questions, as can Eric Krebs. Andrew Stickel has also volunteered to help with computer issues, including XCrysDen.

Andrew Stickel has created a Wien tutorial with images, which I have posted on the Wien help page on the class web site (look under “Running a Calculation”). He cautions that it is a work in progress, and you can email him at stickean@onid.orst.edu if something is unclear. Or email me. Thank you very much Andrew!

HW 3 solutions on BB.
Andrew Stickel has Wien up and running on Windows and has been playing with XCrySDen. He has offered to help anyone who is having trouble getting Wien to behave. Thanks Andrew! I also have XCrysDen running through Wien on the browser on my Mac, and I have updated the help page.

The final exam is scheduled on Tuesday 06/11/2013 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm in WGR 304. To accommodate PH203 TAs in the class, the final will also be offered at 1-3 pm on that day. I would prefer that everyone take it then, but if you cannot, then 2-4 pm is OK. I have requested an alternative room for the final, and I am awaiting confirmation. I will let you know.

Wien accounts have a lowercase 'p' in the account name. The account names originally assigned had uppercase 'P', which is incorrect.

The Physics department comp exam is on Friday 4/5/2013. There WILL be class on the day (there are many students from other departments) but we will use it to review material with which PH students will be quite familiar. A make-up class will be held MON 8 APRIL at 10am in Weniger 304.
