If you look in the Webterm frame, ou will notice buttons labeled "Connect" and "Disconnect." Use your mouse to press the Connect button. This will connect you to the Unix host.
You should get a welcome message followed by the prompt:
login:
guest
with the password
demo
, but then you only be allowed to do a limited number
of things.
You should type in your userid, and other commands, pretty much exactly as they appear (other than adding extra spaces). In paricular, Unix is case sensitive.
After logging in, you should get the prompt:
Password:
If you have mistyped your userid or password, the Unix will inform you that you have not logged in correctly and will prompt you to try again. Otherwise you should receive a propmt and be ready to go. (This is typical of Unix, like many domestic partners, it only really speaks to you when something is wrong.) That beign the case, you are logged in and ready to go on to changing your password.
