What did you learn? What are you still curious about?
How to determine how big the sun was using the pinhole phenomena. How accurate are our estimates of the sun's size?
How far away the sun is from earth. Can this concept be applied to the moon? If the moon was full and bright enough, could we determine its size using the pinhole phenomena?
To draw on my knowledge from other courses, because they can relate to physics. Will I ever be able to understand directions of North, South, East, and West?
I figure things out by drawing diagrams or images. What new questions can we ask children where they could apply this concept?
There is more than one way to arrive at an answer. How would we adjust this activity for different ages of children?
The “b” and “d” trick for determining whether the moon is growing or getting smaller. What other activities can you do with geometry and math?
The logic behind how and why the equations work the way they do. If we used a different light source, such as a flashlight, would a bigger or smaller image of the light appear in our experiment?
How to connect geometry and things I already knew to new subjects and things I am still curious about.
It is really good to listen to your students and staff because they can offer ideas I maybe wouldn't have considered. How well is the Ning going to fit our needs?
