Fall 2009-Day 2
The Instructional Strategy of Reflection
What did you like/learn?
---
I learned why the pinhole images were inverted.
I liked the field trip outside and getting to explore outside the classroom.
I learned some strategies for explaining exactly why the image was flipped.
Light travels in straight lines!
I learned that the closer you got to the light source, the more definite the pinhole image was.
When you are surprised, you are excited and interested to learn.
I learned that if I form a question, I can find out the answer by exploring.
It's nice to have multiple people who know the lesson plan because everyone can explain it in different ways that make more sense for other people.
Similar answers can be found by exploring a multitude of different questions. Everyone thinks about things differently.
What are you curious about?
---
Are pinhole cameras related to mirrors? How do mirrors work?
I'm still curious about how shadows outside work with a natural light source.
How does the moon relate to the sun?
Does a camera have a mirror inside of it? Does that affect how images appear upside down?
How do you eyes work? How do our eyes/brains flip images?
Can light travel in both straight lines and squiggly lines? Is there an experiment we can do to explore that more?
Does the moon cast shadows? What can we learn by observing the sky?
