Today I talked with the class about what they have seen about the moon in the last couple of days and what it looked like when they saw it. Many of them said it looked like a half moon and they think that in the next few days the moon will get bigger because they have witnessed the moon getting bigger over the last week and think that it will continue getting bigger. I asked them what they think the angle of the moon to the sun will look like and if it will get bigger or smaller over the next few days. Some people thought that maybe the angle will get bigger over the course of the day. I told them to go out earlier in the day, like in the afternoon, to see if they can see the moon and the sun out at the same time so they can see the angle of the moon to the sun. I believe it went really well and that they will continue looking for the moon and become excited about what they are observing. Courteney Vogt
