I had each table group make a poster that talks about what they think literacy learning is. I had them put words and pictures on them so that it displays what it is to the class. Many of the groups said literacy learning was reading and writing and learning from what is read and written. Also they said that each person has a different level that they learn through literacy learning. People at different ages all use literacy learning but not the same way. One group said that literacy learning is reading and writing but also communicating with others. We learn through others and through our communication with other and how we communicate differently with different people. I think the groups did a good job coming up with what literacy learning meant. I remember doing the same in my class and seeing the difference between the too and how each group came up with the different ideas is really cool. Courteney Vogt
