Fall 2009-Day 19
The Instructional Strategy of Reflection

What did you learn? What are you still wondering?
I learned how velocity graphs work, and the differences between position and velocity graphs. I'm curious still about the seasons and how the website worked.
I learned about the seasons. The tilt of the axis plays a role in the seasons, and how we have different angle of direct sunlight that hit the earth. If we were to work with the motion detectors a little more, I wonder what would happen as we moved closer instead of only moving far away.
I learned about the seasons. I liked acting them out, and to see why we have them. I still want a better understanding of the seasons. Are there other factors that come into play? How? The tilt? I want to take everything into account, but I just can't yet. I'm also curious about why everything travels counterclockwise. Why do things not travel clockwise?
I learned that the seasons are related to the earth's axis, not the earth's distance from the sun. How do other planets rotate? Their axis?
The axis always faces North. I am wondering about Uranus and how it travels around the sun.
In the winter, the sun is actually just a touch closer. I'm still curious about velocity since we went through it quickly.
The axis is always facing North. Why is the earth at a tilt in the first place?
