Using Gradescope
MTH 434/534 — Winter 2024
-
Assignments:
-
-
The assignment itself can be found (only) on the
homework page.
-
Each assignment has a name, such as "HW 1".
-
When you have completed the assignment, export or scan it to PDF.
Please do not take photographs of your work except as a last
resort.
(Further information about scanning assignments for Gradescope can
be found
here.)
-
Upload your PDF to Gradescope, following the instructions below.
-
After grading, your corrected assignment will be available on
Gradescope.
-
Accessing Gradescope:
-
-
There is a Gradescope link in the Canvas navigation panel on the left.
-
You should also be able to go directly to
Gradescope
and login with ONID credentials.
Select School Credentials on the login screen.
-
Uploading assignments:
-
-
Please make sure that your file name includes your own name, as well
as the name of the assignment.
One possibility would be "DrayHW2.pdf".
-
You will be asked to identify which page(s) correspond to which
problem(s) when you submit your assignment.
Don't forget this step! Without it, assignments are much more
difficult to grade.
-
Best practice is to write up each problem on one or more separate
pages.
-
Presentation is listed as a separate problem for grading purposes
only.
Best practice is to associate your entire assignment with this
problem.
-
Grading:
-
-
Problems designated as "MTH 534 only" may be attempted by MTH 434
students for extra credit, or left blank.
-
Each assignment will be worth 20 10 points
for content, and 10 5 points for
presentation.
-
I do not use the Canvas gradebook.
Please use Gradescope to retrieve your assignment grades.
