HOMEWORK
MTH 255H — Winter 2007
Ground Rules
Problems given by number refer to the text, Multivariable Calculus, by
McCallum, Hughes Hallett, Gleason, et al (MHG). A copy of this text is on reserve in the library.
Other problems are links to PDF files.
-
It is your job to explain your work to me clearly and completely. Here are
some guidelines:
-
-
Write legibly;
-
Explain at least briefly what you're trying to do, don't just do it;
-
Use complete sentences;
-
Equations should (mostly) be contained in sentences.
-
You may discuss homework problems with anyone you wish, but should explicitly
acknowledge having done so.
Assignments
The Exercises at the end of each section in MHG are an excellent skills
check, and the Check your Understanding questions at the end of each
chapter are an excellent review. These problems will not be listed separately
below, but you should attempt as many of them as you feel is appropriate.
Solutions should not be turned in, but seek help if you have any questions.

I will assume that email is a reliable way to reach you unless you tell me
otherwise. If you don't check your email regularly, please let me know.
-
It is to your advantage to provide me with a campus email address, as there
are some things (such as grades) which I will not send elsewhere.
