Vector Field Analyzer

The Vector Field Analyzer, written by Matthias Kawski at Arizona State University, is a very nice JAVA program for visualizing vector fields. It will run automatically if you go to the above website; you can also try the "official" website. Unfortunately, no documentation for this program currently exists; the software is still being tested. However, minimal instructions do exist for an earlier version of the program, which you can find here.

Some further information from a similar course taught elsewhere can be found here.

WARNING FOR MAC AND UNIX USERS:
You may not be able to read the blue text in the boxes for user input, in particular the one in which you enter the components of the vector field. You can enter text in these boxes; be sure to completely erase what's already there (even though you can't see it), and don't make any typos.
WARNING FOR MOZILLA USERS:
This software does not work well with some versions of Mozilla; sorry.
