• Making conjectures and/or generalizations.
• Exploring additional consequences.

Presentation

• Use of valid mathematical language and symbols.
• Correct use of English.
• Effective organization.
• Use of appropriate figures and diagrams.
• Clear communication of mathematical thinking and reasoning.

All written assigments (except exams) will receive two separate scores, one for content and the other for presentation, based on the above criteria. It is not expected that all criteria be met for all assigments; the goal should rather be to satisfy most of the criteria most of the time. Exams will receive a content score only, based on the first two criteria above. Even on an exam, full credit for content will rarely, if ever, be given for correct answers without some supporting computations and/or explanations.
