NEW ROOM ASSIGNMENTS FOR FINAL!
Rooms for the Final (Monday, 7 December, 4-5:50 PM) have
been added to the course home page.
11/13/98
Today is the last day to withdraw (or change to S/U)!
(Strange but true:
The 13th of the month is more likely to be a Friday than any other day of the
week!)
11/11/98
Exams will be returned tomorrow.
The correct answers are:
11/9/98
Here are some exams (not mine) from previous terms in PDF format, with
solutions:
11/9/98
Good things to review for Midterm 2:
10/29/98
In §6.5, we will not cover the Product-to-Sum and Sum-to-Product formulas
on pages 520-521.
However, it is worth knowing that they exist, and where to find them.
Recommended homework problems for §6.5: 4,10,24,34,40,46,50.
10/26/98
If you're stuck on last week's lab (on inverse trig functions), get help!
There are two patterns, only one of which is relevant to the problem.
10/21/98
Exams will be returned tomorrow, although the multiple choice results may not
yet be available.
The correct answers are: d, d, b, d, d, a, a (b is half credit),
0.174 km = 174 m, 118 ft, 108 ft.
There is an exam key posted outside my office door. Please
remove it only to make a copy.
10/21/98
There is a lab tomorrow (10/22), covering material from
§5.6.
10/19/98
ROOM CHANGE!
This change applies to both midterms.
Ryan's section (018) will take the midterms in
Wngr 153, NOT in Glsn 200.
No change to the other sections.
10/19/98
The figure in the text for problem 36 of §5.7 on page 468 is
incorrect! The angle of depression should be measured with
respect to the horizontal, and is therefore only 55-28=27° in the
figure. The correct answer to the problem as written is 11.8;
the correct answer to the problem as drawn in the figure is
12.6.
10/16/98
