Octoshop IV
Freie Univesität Berlin
Berlin, GERMANY
20-25 August 2001

A list of speakers can be found here.

In conjunction with the 3rd International ISAAC Congress of the International Society for Analysis, its Applications, and Computation (ISAAC), to be held in Berlin in August 2001, there will be a workshop devoted to the octonions and their applications. There have been 3 previous Octoshops, held in Göteborg (1994), Corvallis (1997), and York (2000).

We encourage the participation of everyone with an interest in the octonions and their applications. The workshop will consist of both invited and contributed talks, with plenty of time for discussion. If you are interested in giving a talk, please contact us at the address below, indicating the title and general area of your talk. Contributed talks will be scheduled as time permits, and could be as short as 15 minutes.

All Octoshop participants are expected to register for the ISAAC Congress, for which the registration fee is now DM 400 (without proceedings). (The late registration penalty of DM 100 can be waived until 30 May, and possibly thereafter; you must contact us in order to request this.) Please preregister by providing the information on their preregistration form, which can be sent via email to isaac01@math.fu-berlin.de; please send us a copy. The only information about accomodations currently available through the Congress is a link to the Berlin tourist office, where it is possible to book hotel rooms online.

(For those of you interested in travel funding, unfortunately, there isn't any.)

Further information will be posted here as it becomes available. If you wish to be added to our mailing list, or if you have any questions, please contact us at the address below (email preferred).
