+) Please be gentle with the switch to change between the 532 and 785 lasers, moving it carefully and slowly.Carelessly throwing the switch back and forth causes the mirrors to become misaligned and lower the quality of your data.
+) Don't mess with the AC. Thermal expansion can also be a cause for alignment issues(again, bad data).
+) Please note changes in the laser power if you use the fine tune knob on the 532nm laser.

+) Make sure to record the position and intensity (# counts) of the reference Si calibration peak every time calibration file on the Raman computer desktop. Also your name and the date. This helps to track the system folder. 65,000 to 70,000 counts is high; more usually 45,000. Should be at 520 cm^-1, can vary to 518-523 cm^-1 (temperature?).
