Carefully recover all fragments of unburned pieces of ignition wire. Use tweezers
if necessary, and remove any (round) lumps of iron oxide. Weigh the pieces of unburned wire (but not the iron oxide!), and subtract this from the initial mass of wire to get the milligrams of wire consumed. |
