The electric leads from the ignition unit are inserted into thrust terminals in the bomb head, while you are holding the bomb above the bucket.  The bottom of the bomb should fit squarely over the raised area on the bottom of the bucket to avoid having the stirrer hit and damage the bomb body.  Remember to keep the bomb level to avoid spilling the liquid sample inside the bomb!
