Finally, pressurize the combustion vessel to 30 atmospheres of oxygen. Keep the outlet valve on the bomb head closed this time. The inlet valve is a check valve and will not let oxygen out of the bomb.

| There is a special toggle valve on the filling connection, beneath the pressure gauge. Use this to release the pressure in the filling connection tubing, so that the filling connection can now be disconnected. | |
