Veerapattha ('Ying') Vanthiya (Visiting Scholar) [Fall 2023] | |
Veerapattha Vanthiya (Ying) was born in Phetchabun, Thailand, in 1999. She received a BS degree in Chemistry from Kasetsart University, Thailand in 2021 and remained at that institution to pursue an MS degree in Organic Chemistry, which she expects to complete in 2024. Her undergraduate and graduate research at Kasetsart University have been carried out under the guidance of Dr. Pitak Chuawong and focus on the synthesis of indole-borondifluoride complexes as cell-imaging agents. She spent three months in the Blakemore Research Group as a visiting scholar and assisted with the total synthesis of chalaniline A.
