  • Solving systems of linear equations by Gaussian Elimination. (1 week)
  • Matrix operations, conditions for invertibility. (1.5 weeks)
  • Determinants. (0.5 week)
  • Definition of linear transformation and its connection with matrices. (1 week)
  • Subspaces of R^n, linear independence, span, basis, and dimension. (1.5 weeks)
  • Row space, column space, null space, rank-nullity theorem. (1.5 weeks)
  • Eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Note: Be sure students do some problems involving complex numbers. (2 weeks)
