Please post Center for Astronomical Adaptive Optics is looking for an engineering undergraduate student with some Autocad or IDEAS drafting experience. The work involves working for an aerospace engineer who is developing spacecraft telescope conceptual models along with fabricating laboratory proof of concept test apparatus. Tasks for the student will vary from making conceptual drawings of spacecraft for presentations and proposals (based on the engineers rough sketches) to dimensioning machine shop fabrication drawings for test equipment that have been extracted from the engineers IDEAS models. If the student does not have any experience with IDEAS drafting software we will train but some experience with Autocad 3D modeling and drafting is required. Student can schedule working hours around classes and exams. Need a student 20 hours a week (less per week during exams). Pay is minimum but more with experience. Work is on campus in the Steward Observatory building and available immediately. Anyone who knows of a student who would like to gain experience working in this aerospace R&D field please contact either Matt Rademacher at 621-9212 or secretary Kim Chapman at 626-4323. Thank you Matt Rademacher Center for Astronomical Adaptive Optics Steward Observatory University of Arizona
