Chapter 5

Figure 5.22: Clink on a plot below to see a temporal animation of the spatial probability density of a superposition state comprising energy eigenstates of the infinite square well. The time scale in each case is set by the Bohr frequency for that pair of states (meaning that the times are different in each case).

Chapter 6

Figures 6.6 & 6.9: Clink on a plot below to see a temporal animation of wave packet motion. The 1st plot (Fig. 6.6) is a discrete wave packet comprising three states. The 2nd plot (Fig. 6.9) is a gaussian wave packet. The 3rd plot is a longer time version of Fig. 6.9 for a gaussian wave packet that shows the wave packet spreading in time.

The time scale in each case is set by the fundamental Bohr frequency for the harmonic oscillator (meaning that the times are the same in each case).
