In the directory public-html
there is a sample home
page named sample-page.html
. Open it now with your favorite
editor and look at it. This file is written in the HyperText Markup
Language, html. This is the language for World Wide Web
documents, and is rather easy to figure out.

index.html

back in a safe place.
The sample file has been set up to be easy to change:
In the next section, Accessing Information on the Internet, you will have the opportunity to see your Web page on the World Wide Web. You will be told when it is time to politely ask your Systems Administrator to link your home page to your Department's home page. Remember, you can always change your home page, it's your's.
