LISSAJOUS FIGURES
Lissajous figures are obtained for the interference of two perpendicular
oscillatory motions of different frequencies. The resulting path depends
on the ratio of frequencies and on the phase difference. This program draws
the figures formed for several values of frequencies and some phase difference.
Instructions:
- Select, from the list, the ratio of frequencies that you want to see.
- Pressing Start, the phase difference will change continuously. The phase
difference is the angle formed by the blue line in the red circle at the
left corner.
- If you want to see the figure in some phase difference, you must write
its value (in grades) in the white rectangle and to press Enter.
- With Pause will stop the figure.
