THE PHOTOELECTRIC EFFECT
In the photoelectric effect, light falls on a metal surface, and
electrons are emitted. It studies the relation between light
intensity and frequency and the electron current.
This program simulates photoelectric effect and it can
compute Planck's constant.
Instructions:
-
On turn on source light.
-
Vertical Scrollbar changes light frequency.
-
With Right Horizontal Scrollbar To select light intensity.
-
Left Horizontal Scrollbar varies the retarded voltage (to stop electron current).
-
You can choose, a Metalfrom this list.
-
Off turns the light off.
-
Plot shows a frame to write four experimental values and then
Planck's constant in computed. Fill the blanks, press the frame plot button
and h value appears.
