Initial Velocities
The velocities are initialized to random directions with magnitudes that
give a mean velocity which corresponds to the applied temperature. The
random magnitudes are sampled from a Gaussian distribution to simulate
what the distribution of velocities naturally looks like. Note, that
this is not very important since the velocities will assume a Gaussian
shape as the simulation progresses regardless of the initial velocities.
