Ph314, Fall 2007, Homework Assignment #2
K. Krane, "Modern Physics", Chapter 2 - Problem Group 1:2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7; Problem Group 2: 8, 9.
Please solve one problem from Group 2, and any three from Group
1.
Each problem is priced 2 pts. Please turn in only four
solutions.
The deadline for this homework is Tuesday, April 14. Please put your
homework into a clearly marked box in Room 232, when you come to your
lab class.
Grading 38 homeworks each week will be a big workload for me. And I want
to return the graded homeworks to you ASAP, no later than one week after
the deadline. So, if you turn in five solutions, only the first
four will be graded. However, if you wish to solve more than four
problems, please do that - but keep the "extras" in your notebook. The
"official" solutions of all problems will be posted soon after the
turning-in deadline. You may then check by yourself whether your "extra"
solutions are correct.
Also, keep in mind that any help with homework you get from me during
my OHs (or any other time), is FOR FREE. There is no "point penalty"
for that -- just the opposite, you may only GAIN points, because my help
will warranty that everything is OK in your solution.
