Bethany Rader '28
Ph.D. Applied Economics

Bethany is a PhD student in Applied Economics at OSU. Her research interests are in natural resource economics, public policy, and poverty economics. Her recent work evaluates the impacts of California's Safe and Affordable Funding for Equity and Resilience program on water insecurity and the Human Right to Water. Bethany is deeply passionate about using the tools of economics to advance more equitable outcomes.



Andrew Steinkruger '29
Ph.D. Applied Economics

Andrew is a PhD student in Applied Economics at OSU. His research is in natural resource economics and environmental economics. His current work includes an empirical analysis of timber supply in Oregon's private forests and an evaluation of the impacts and dynamics of gentrification in Oregon's coastal communities. Andrew anticipates developing future research on wildfire impacts in private forestry and climate change impacts in fishing communities.

Jace Bell '26
M.S. Marine Resource Management

Jace is a graduate student in Marine Resource Management at OSU. His thesis research explores how managed and unmanaged retreat strategies affect coastal housing markets in response to sea level rise. Passionate about bridging science, policy, and community needs, Jace aims to inform equitable adaptation strategies to coastal hazards that support both people and the planet.



Sonali Rakshit '28
Ph.D. Applied Economics

Sonali is a PhD student in Applied Economics at OSU. Her research interests are in environmental economics and urban economics. Her recent work evaluates the impacts of emerging transportation technologies on the housing market. Additionally, her current research includes assessing demand for disaster insurance in coastal housing markets.
