Next, each group used a ramp and cart to re-complete motion graphs. They completed position, velocity, and acceleration graphs for standing still, moving slowly, moving quickly, speeding up, slowing down, and turning around. They were able to manipulate the tilt of the ramp in order to help them create the speeding up, slowing down, and turning around graphs.
Many of the students had trouble drawing exactly what was on the graph, instead of recognizing the trends in their data. They had trouble focusing in on the exact part of the graph that they needed to focus on.
