Going on a Field Trip to the Roof to Observe the Moon and Sun

This is a sky journal entery from the top of the roof. One arm was pointing at the sun and the other was pointing towards the western horizon, at the moon. We discussed the angle that the moon and sun formed and how that might change over the next few days. We also discussed how the moon might change over the next few days: set earlier/later, more lit/less lit, and what time would be good to look for the moon.

Continuing the idea from last week of the pinhole cameras each group held a pinhole frame about 1 meter from a white piece of paper. The pinhole frame and paper had to be in line with the sun so that the image of the sun was formed on the paper. They then traced that image of the sun on the screen.
