Students came up with these powerful ideas when describing the “Flow Model:“

• Direction of the flow doesn't matter.
  
• The current will always take the path of least resistance.
  
• Series circuit is dimmer than a parallel circuit when connected to directly to the battery.
  
• Current is conserved. Energy is lost. The amount of current coming leaving a battery is the same amount coming back into the battery.
  
• If there is less resistance, there is more current.
  
• A parallel circuit has half of the resistance of a series circuit.

Students had some confusion when discussing a question on their homework which involved charged/neutral tapes. Their confusion came from differences in the way that they worded their responses to the question:
A is negative. A repels B. B repels C. F repels C. C is attracted to D. D is attracted to E. E is attracted to F.
After working together and having some discussion with one another, they came to a mutual understanding and agreement.
