In our brief tour of relativistic electromagnetism, we have seen how special relativity unifies physical concepts previously regarded as separate. Space and time become spacetime. Energy and momentum become 4-momentum. Charge and current densities become the 4-current density. The scalar and vector potentials become the 4-potential. And, finally, the electric and magnetic fields become the electromagnetic field tensor.
