Overview of Current Hiring Initiative

Oregon State University is engaged in a major hiring initiative to enhance the disciplinary-based and education-based synergy of STEM education research in life-long learning, K–12 education, transition to college, lower- and upper-division university education. We anticipate a total of six tenure-line faculty positions in addition to a full-time, permanent director of the new Center for Research in Lifelong STEM Learning, with tenure homes in the College of Science, Education, or Engineering. Five of the first six positions were filled during the 2012–2013 academic year.

The new Center will work closely with our Center for Teaching and Learning and Technology Across the Curriculum office to promote best practices. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong interest in doing collaborative research in this setting, and within the broader education community.
