Rebekah Elliott
Rebekah Elliott is Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the College of Science. Dr. Elliott works in the preparation of new science and mathematics teachers and development of math teachers in secondary education with particular attention to the development of mathematics teacher leaders. In three externally funded projects – Researching Mathematics Leader Learning (RMLL), Algebra in Context(AIC), and Studio Fellowship Program – Dr. Elliott contributes to knowledge generation on leaders of mathematics professional development (RMLL), the professional education of mathematics teachers, secondary STEM teacher change within school communities (AIC), and the preparation of secondary mathematics teachers (Studio). She contributes to developing future mathematics teachers and mathematics and science education researchers through her work in graduate programs in the College of Education. Currently, she is involved in re-designing the series of secondary mathematics methods courses to detail the work of high quality mathematics instruction and supporting novices in the profession learning about instruction.
