The blank standard deviation for the above data was 0.00016 A.U. from 15 measurements. You should use these calibration data and own your blank noise data for detection limit calculations and compare results. The calibration slope should be the same as the cell path length is the same.
You should your mean absorbance for 50 mg/mL QS to calculate the stray light fraction and compare this stray light fraction to the stray light fraction for the older instrument based on the 50 mg/mL measurement in the table above.
Data to be used for experiment 3, part D, part 4, this is the table specified in part a of the data analysis for calibration data
Calibration and Precision Data Acquired on an Aminco-Bowman Spectrofluorometer (Series II)) for Quinine Sulfate Solutions

You are using your blank standard deviations to calculate the detection limit and answer the questions about noise. The excitation lamp was replaced since the above data were taken. Your measurement of 1 mg/mL should be compared to that in the table and used to normalize the slope for the calculation of the detection limit.

experiment 1B noise data on 10/29/03
one report per group of two due Monday November 3
Here is the PMT gain data for station 5 (the station on which we took the noise data) - you need to use a spreadsheet to obtain the equation for the plot of log m vs log bias voltage (question 2 for the report) so you can figure out m at 850 V. This is all you need for question 1 for the report.
