| 3. | I have decided to introduce a small buffer to your scores to accommodate any inexactness that may have crept into an evaluation system that asks you to calculate many numbers, use a technology (ChemSkill Builder) which is rigid, take exams in large lecture theaters, and make entries on a few of Scantron forms. Accordingly, no student will be "just a few points away from the higher grade." |
| 4. | If you scored a higher percentage on the cumulative final exam than the percentage on all three exams, the final exam percentage will be used to calculate your exam component--see Syllabus. |
