Kristin Potter is a native Oregonian. She was born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon where she graduated from Roseburg High School as valedictorian. It was during her first year at Oregon State that she realized her interest in chemistry and research. Kristin is currently a junior at OSU pursuing a BS in Chemistry and has already completed a minor in Spanish. She joined the Blakemore Research Group in October 2015 to research mechanisms for the synthesis of XN metabolites and derivatives for activity testing and pre-clinical studies. Aside from chemistry, Kristin enjoys traveling, playing sports, and spending time with friends and family.
