Hyun (Kevin) Cho was born in South Korea and spent his formative years living in that country, China, and Thailand, before emigrating to the USA and settling in Oregon when he was 16 years old. Kevin completed his final two years of high school at Valley Catholic High School in Beaverton, OR, and it was while there that he developed a keen interest in chemistry from a former West Point chemistry instructor. Kevin is currently a sophomore at OSU where he is pursuing a BS degree majoring in Chemistry. While a member of the Blakemore Research Group, he worked toward the synthesis of novel stimuli responsive host molecules containing 8,8'-biquinolyl motifs.
